Program Impact
Investments in member development include more than $850K in grants for the following programs:
- Academic, Conference and Study Abroad Scholarships

- NEW Lambda Chi Academy: a one stop shop for equipping members and officers with lifelong character and skills. From learning about our values and what it truly means to be a Brother, to developing the skills to lead a team, the Academy offers a host of resources that are bite-size, relevant, and real to life. Offering only what works, the Academy represents the very best in learning. Programs accessible through the Academy include Ideal Man and Stead Leadership College (formerly known as LSCA).
- NEW Ideal Man: Ideal Man is a four-year personal and professional skill-building program to maximize the Lambda Chi Alpha membership experience. Focused on developing Brotherhood, competence, and character, its mission is to prepare members for success during and after college.
Programming offered through external partnerships to lean-on their content expertise and ability to create high-quality resources. Offered throughout the academic year.
- OneLove Foundation: Creation of healthy relationships amongst its members and their peers, develops recognition of behaviors that lead to relationship abuse, fosters bystander intervention skills, and allows members to understand and adhere to policies regarding consent.
- Jed Foundation: Strengthen members’ mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention programming and systems... skills and support to grow into healthy, thriving adults; and encouraging community awareness, understanding, and action for young adult mental health.
- Fraternal Health & Safety Initiative (FHSI): Improve education to increase knowledge around sexual health, bystander intervention, anti-hazing, and substance use.
NEW Stead Leadership College: Aimed at serving and future Chapter Officers, the College prepares Brothers to be a member of the chapter’s management team (High Zeta), builds capability within Chapters, and acts as a bridge between campus and career. Stead Leadership College is the next phase of the concept behind the Leadership Skills Certification Academy (LSCA) and builds on the content and improves the delivery system of that program.
High Alpha Summit: this in-person conference, , prepares Chapter Presidents to learn the fundamentals of serving as Chief Executive Officer for their respective chapter, with emphasis on situational leadership, ethical decision-making, operations management, and strategic planning through goal setting and review.
Neville Advisor's College: this in-person conference, scheduled concurrently with the High Alpha Summit, prepares advisors for success through an emphasis on situational leadership and creating intentional points of conversation with their High Alphas and peer advisors. Advisors are trained in the basics of chapter operation and working with the chapter and its officers.
Ideal Man is a comprehensive member development program which provides experiential learning on Ideal Man history, personal values and goals, career development, mental health, financial literacy, inclusive leadership, and other relevant topics.
Thanks to the generosity of donors to the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation, this new program will receive its first round of funding in the coming year.
Only 35% of recent college graduates feel school has prepared them for the workforce. On the employer side, only 13% of U.S. adults feel college graduates are prepared for the workforce.
In response, Lambda Chi Alpha partnered with Kaplan, a leading global educator, to develop the Leadership Skills Certification Academy, a comprehensive officer training program which provides development of skills necessary for chapter leadership, while also preparing officers for the professional world. The four programs included in LSCA are Leading Teams (Chapter President), Recruiting and Sales (Recruitment Chair), Social Responsibility (Philanthropy Chair), and Essentials in Finance (Treasurer).

Since its inception, more than $1,000,000 has been granted to fund the educational costs associated with this award-winning new training program.
Lambda Chi Alpha has partnered with Dyad Strategies to conduct ongoing research on the wellbeing of our members and chapters to develop comprehensive recommendations that will guide us in developing, implementing, and refining approaches and programs to support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our members.
Thanks to the generosity of donors to the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation, $30,000 has been granted for 2022-2023 to fund the educational costs associated with this research initiative.
The Facilitator Training & Certification program prepares volunteers to deliver programming to our students that is educational in nature, providing leadership, safety, and service training that align with the goals of the Foundation. The program allows all participants to learn from one another and experts in the field so that our curriculum is delivered by the most competent individuals in the most effective way.

Each Stead Leadership Seminar gives brothers memories and experiences that will suit them well in life. Additionally, the curriculum that the General Fraternity offers helps brothers be better officers, members in Lambda Chi Alpha, and lifetime alumni.
